Located in the Laurentians, an hour's drive from Montreal, Hemerocallis Montfort specializes in hardy daylilies that perform well in zone 4. We currently have over 1,200 varieties in our gardens, ranging from classic cultivars to newer introductions. We are an official display garden of the American Hemerocallis Society and are open to the public during summer (see Display Garden).

How to Order?
The orders are processed as they are received. The plants are therefore reserved for you as soon as the order is received, by regular mail or email, and paid for. If you order by email, we reserve the varieties chosen for two weeks, until we receive payment. You can print an order form.
The order must be at least $25. For Postal orders of $60 or more, we give a 10% discount. This discount applies to plants only and does not extend to the shipping charges nor to purchases made when visiting during the summer.
We do not charge taxes. The amount due must be paid in full by check or money order, made out to Hemerocallis Montfort or Claude Gauthier, when the order is placed.
Each plant sold consist of double fans or better of bloom-size daylilies. For varieties with very small fans, the amount of fans should exceed two. Freshly dug plants are shipped. When shipped, the plants are sturdy and are labelled correctly. All the plants are guaranteed. They will be replaced, or you will be refunded, if they are not satisfactory when received. The plants are also guaranteed to be true to name.
Gift Certificates
We offer gift certificates. They can be in the amount of your choice ($25 or more). You simply order them by mail. We send a copy of the catalogue along with each certificate.
Shipping
Depending on weather, shipping starts mid-May and ends mid-June. Orders are processed on a first come first serve basis. If you cannot receive your plants on certain dates, please indicate it on your order form.
Plants are shipped bare roots by mail. Delivery charges are $10 for Quebec and Ontario, and $14 for the other provinces, except British Columbia. We use the Expedited Parcel service which guarantees delivery within two to four working days, in all of these areas. For British Columbia, our charges are of $14 for Expedited Parcel delivery (5 working days) or $20 for Xpresspost delivery (3 working days).
You can pick-up your order here. If you choose this option, no delivery charges apply and we will get in touch with you before preparing your order. However, payment must be made when the order is placed.
Sold outs and Substitutions
Our General Listing is regularely updated to indicate any sold out variety. You can indicate on your order possible substitute varieties (of approximately equal value). Or, if you prefer, we can pick replacement varieties for you. We will choose varieties with similar features and/or blooming periods that are sold at the same or a higher price. If you do not want substitutions, please indicate it on your order and you will be refunded.
We are located in the Laurentians, 45 minutes north of Montreal. In 2008, we are open from Thursday to Sunday from July 24 until August 17, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. You can visit our garden at other times, by appointment only.
We charge an entrance fee of $5 per person. This amount can be deducted from any purchase made either on the premises or later. Past and present customers may visit the garden free of charge.
